Modern Bathtubs

bathtubsContemporary bathtubs have waste or overflow drains with taps, either free standing or built in. Until recently,  bathtubs were generally rectangular. However, with the advent of acrylic thermo-formed bathtubs, a variety of shapes are being produced.

Bathtubs are available in a variety of colors and decorative appeal. Today, they are are not only of practical use but also increase the visual appeal of the bathroom. The most common color bathtub is white, although you can pick from many different colors.  Scottish-born American,  David Dunbar Buick, discovered the process of enameling cast iron bathtubs.

Bathtubs Styles

There are two major tub styles. The first is the western style bathtub wherein the person who is bathing can lie down. Such bathtubs are more common and are usually shallow and long. The second style is the eastern style of bathtub where a bather sits up. They are small in size but deep.

Western style bathtubs are more popular than eastern style bathtubs. When choosing the style, keep your personal preferences in mind as well ad the size of the bathroom. If your bathroom is small, then you might want to invest in an eastern style bathtub.

This will offer you an incomparable body massage and go a long way in invigorating your body.
